| I have been thinking lately about God's creation. For years I have been in awe of God when I see things like Niagara Falls or huge mountains or intricate flowers but there is a big part of His creation for which I wasn't really giving Him a lot of glory.
The part that I have been missing is the things that he has done through the people that He created. God has given us so many things in this world through the creativity that He created within people. For example God created man to be able to make vibrations in different ways and put them all together in a creative and pleasing way that we call music. Think of all the the different kinds of instruments and the different styles of music. Think about it and give Him praise and honor.
Think about how God has placed the abilities within people to produce electricity and light and tools and the whole computer world. Just think, I can have some thoughts here in Ohio, touch some buttons on a keyboard and within the same minute someone in China can know what I'm thinking.
I used to compare things that were made by man to things in God's creation and be amazed at the power of God in nature but now I realize things made by man are really part of God's creation too. It is so cool to think about God creating stars in the sky millions of miles away and oceans so huge and lightning so powerful but it is also cool to think about what God did so that man could create cars and space shuttles and microscopes and ipods.
It's not man's creation versus God's creation, it all points toward God.

This was a good memory. Camping with the young adults before we were married.
Last Saturday was the third anniversary of Sally's home-going.
I had a strange, short dream about her a couple of days ago. She was finally coming home after being gone a long time and the house was fillled with clutter (even more than usual :) ) and as we were walking through the house together I was feeling really bad that I didn't have the place cleaned up to welcome her back. That was it, that's all I remember. I have had other dreams before but it has been a long time.
| Happy Birthday Josiah!
I'm glad you're my son. I'm blessed by your life.
| God's plans are amazing!
If I made a really well-thought-out plan and made it pretty complex, at my best it would only involve a few people and a few steps if I wanted it to come out right. It is amazing sometimes to think about how God's plans work out. His will is accomplished no matter what the opposition or how weak the links are that He works with.
I have a friend whose whole direction in life has changed by such a small thing because God had someone put a fairly insignificant piece of paper on a bulletin board. Let me explain starting from now working back to the piece of paper. If her boyfriend hadn't gone through some pretty heavy trials she wouldn't have had the desire that she has now for her relationship with Christ. If she didn't work with him she wouldn't have met him and she wouldn't have known about the job opening if she wouldn't have been visiting her old teacher and just happened to look at the bulletin board and see a posting for that job. And I just wonder, if we could re-wind the tape and see who posted the job on the bulletin board, what it would have been like. Who was that person and why did they post it?
If we could see just how intricate and complex God's plans are I think we would be in total awe.
It makes me realize that I need to be faithful in the small things that God asks me to do. One piece of paper that He asks me to hang on a bulletin board could be an important link for someone else. We don't always have to be doing big things or great things to accomplish God's will for us. We just need to trust Him and obey quickly.
